My name is Ali Fracasso and I am a graduate student at James Madison University studying exercise physiology. I received my bachelors of science from James Madison University in 2012 in Health Science/Pre-Physical Therapy. I have been teaching group fitness at Gold’s Gym for 5 years and enjoy sharing my drive and passion to motivate others and help them achieve their goals. My brother inspires me to “Go Big or Go Home” everyday. I have always had a passion for exercise and after losing my brother in an automobile accident, working out helped me deal with the loss and it continues to help me everyday. My active lifestyle includes swimming, biking, and running. I ran track and cross country in high school and have competed in 10 milers and half marathons. Currently I am focusing my training to get stronger with Crossfit and strength workouts for two Superfit competitions (January and February 2013). My favorite exercise is pull-ups. There is nothing that challenges your strength like your own body weight. My favorite lift is push press. I enjoy working my shoulders and the push press has helped build my upper body strength. For all that are intimidated by exercise: “You don’t have to be great to start but you have to start to be great.”
