I grew up playing sports: soccer for 12 years and track for 10 years, so that I could break the trend of my family’s history of being overweight. I come from an unhealthy family in which all my dinners came from the microwave and I didn’t want this for my family in the future, so I took a stand.
After graduating high school and getting married too soon, I chose to take my life into my own hands and become my own hero. I raised two amazing young men on my own as a single parent in the Marine Corps which is where my passion for lifting was ignited. I am highly competitive and always want to be able to say that “Yes, I may not always be number one, but I have never walked away without knowing I left it all on the field or in the gym.”
I wanted to be able to motivate and inspire others and show that through diversity, there is literally nothing you can not do by putting your heart into what matters, and that those passions are different for everyone. I found competing in shows and obstacle races as my outlet to be able to give my boys the best me both mentally and physically so that I could always keep up with them. I have since competed at the National level and have earned my Pro card in Bikini. I am now aspiring to continue my dream to compete for IIFBB. I also just completed my first Spartan which I am pretty proud that I inspired friends and followers to go out and do the same!
I have a huge passion for my charity, 22 Until None which raises funds to help Veterans struggling with the effects of PTSD. I live life to the fullest and am passionate about everything I set my mind to which has driven me everyday closer to my dreams!
