Our box had a 14.5 release party Thursday night and a few of us stuck around to watch the live announcement of 14.5. Once again, Dave has us all by the balls. 14.5 isn’t a “Hey, see how reps you can finish in 15 minutes,” or “As many rounds as you can in …..” No, you must do all of the work for it to count. Every. Rep. The clock determined when the first four Open WODs ended; this time, we determine when it ends.
My mind was taken off of the WOD for a few minutes while watching Rich Froning compete. Some of you know Rich as the “fittest man on earth,” but I refer to him as a “tasty looking man-cake that I locked eyes with at the 2013 Regionals for a brief second.” But that’s another story.
