Happy Thanksgiving Strong Figures!
I am beyond thankful to you have all of you in my life, reading my posts, doing my workouts, listening to me rant about this and that, contributing your thoughts and opinions, and keeping up with my experiments/trials/errors/failures and successes!
I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow, no matter where you are and what your plans may be. If you plan on working out, I have a couple of options for you. (PS–I totally wouldn’t blame you for making your holiday a rest day!)
Option 1: Take a long walk with your family, dog, significant other, BFF, or even alone! I plan on doing this for sure. I love taking a walk. Fresh air, the company of others, enticing conversations, watching the puppies play and enjoy themselves…I never tire of it.
Option 2: The Kettlebell Challenge
3-5 rounds of the following for time:
- 10 swings
- 10 cleans to rack position (right arm)
- 10 lunges (with the bell racked or overhead–right side)
- 10 swings
- 10 cleans to rack position (left arm)
- 10 lunges (with the bell racked or overhead–left side)
Mid “clean and press.” The bell stops at the “rack” position which is at the shoulder. Technically my elbow should be down at my side, palm facing in, but I think I’m transitioning into the press in the picture. And I promise I’m not doing a strange dance move with my other hand.
So many things to be thankful…this year I am thankful for my husband-standing by me and being such an amazing father-figure to my nephew that we’re raising. I’m thankful that I have had the mental strength to preservere and graduate(less than a month) especially with all of our stress we’re dealing with. Lastly I am thankful for my love to exercise! I feel very blessed that I love to be sore from a workout or that I love the sweat. Sure I have my days where it’s like pulling teeth to get it done but even then I love it!!!
Aww Katy, that all sounds so wonderful! Congrats on graduating and what an incredible thing to do to raise your nephew! You must be quite the inspiration to those who know you! 🙂
