This weekend was not a typical weekend for me! In fact, it was ten times better! I may have gotten zero laundry washed (it’s in the washer now) and I might not have gotten a single ounce of food prepped (I still have some left overs), but I had a freaking blast.
First up, after an awful round of piss-poor deadlifts on Saturday morning (I don’t know what was wrong with me), I got to coach an awesome group of athletes for the noon CrossFit workout. Their workout is what I’m recommending for your Tuesday Strong Figure Conditioning Workout:
3 Rounds for Time:
- 400 meter run
- 21 Kettlebell Swings
- 12 Pull-ups
If you don’t have equipment, sub 21 lunges and 12 push-ups. And if you can’t quite do a pull-up but you have access to equipment, use either a kettlebell or dumbbell and do single arm rows. Rest your left arm on your left knee, and row the weight with your right arm to build up those back muscles for your pull-ups!
Also, make sure you didn’t miss my post this morning! I have created a 30-day kettlebell and core challenge! In 30 days, you’ll do 1000 kettlebell swings and a whole host of ab exercises! I’m excited to see who takes on this challenge. Let me know in the comments below if you do this!

Back to my weekend!
After coaching on Saturday, our box owner’s wife–who is also a super-fantastic savvy entrepreneur and leader in women’s business–treated me to lunch at one of our favorite local spots. I felt so special! And after our lunch, I spent the rest of the day with one of my best girl friends whom I snap chat with more than anyone I know! We played with her kids, we drank some wine, watched Tangled, and had a fantastic girls’ day.
I might have even picked up pizza on the way home to see Erik afterwards. 😉

And yesterday was just as much fun as Saturday! Our CrossFit box raised the most money in the NATION for the Barbells for Boobs fundraiser in 2013, so the PINK BRA TOUR came to our gym for a very special fundraising event! We got to workout, meet famous CrossFit Games athlete Gretchen Kittelberger, eat good foods, drink great beer, (all Paleo of course–haha), and raise even more funds and awareness for breast cancer. This event was HUGE and I’m so thankful for everyone who came out and supported us, and especially to everyone who has helped donate to this cause!

The best part of this all, is that the fundraising isn’t over! We have until the end of December to raise funds for 2014! Strong Figure has its own fundraising page and our goal is $1000 by December and I know we can do this! If interested, please visit our page: https://fundraise.barbellsforboobs.org/fundraise?fcid=349009. Any little bit helps!! Thank you!
